Are you interested in having a stall at our 21st Newtown Festival Street Fair Day on Sunday March 5th 2017?  Bookings opened in March 2016 and we welcome your booking.  We think that the links above will answer most of your questions, but please contact us if there is anything you would like to discuss.

You can contact us on or phone 04 389 7316 or 027 416 9731 to discuss anything to do with the Festival.

We have a Stallholders’ Newsletter with regular updates on Festival news

To be emailed the Newsletter you can sign up here.

We publish a list of stalls online (see the 2016 list here) Each year this is available on our website the week before Fairday (when all the final site allocations are complete). This written promo of your stall can be seen by Fair goers on their smart phones on Fairday. We post online based on what you say in the “Description of Stall and Contents” in your booking. Make it sound inviting. If you make it brief we will use all your own words, otherwise there will be some editing.

The powered sites are primarily in the food precinct areas –  Emmett Street, Wilson Street, Rintoul Street, Constable Street, Newtown Ave, Donald McLean Street.  If there are a number of general (non food) stalls wanting a power supply we will group them together with a generator – in 2016 there was a group of these stalls in Constable St.

If you have arranged a powered site please check the Terms and Conditions relating to power supply.

We are delighted to report that the Festival Recycling Team did such a good job at the 2015 Street Fair that we won a Wellington Airport Community Award! 50% of the waste was diverted from the landfill.

The Festival team are keen to do even better in 2016 – please help us achieve this!

Here are five companies that sell bio-degradable products:

Potato Pak –

Bio Supplies –

Ayrpak –

Eden Green –

Friendlypak –

We encourage you to consider purchasing this type of packaging to use at our festival (and any other festivals!), instead of plastic or polystyrene products which take hundreds of years to decompose in our landfills.

Please encourage your customers to use the re-cycling and compost stations at the Fair. Less rubbish means saved resources, longer lasting and fewer landfills. Fewer landfills mean better air and water quality for all New Zealanders!
